Reports & Case Studies.

Partnership Programmes for Farmer Buy-in for Underutilised Crops (2025)
Developed a carbon-credit–linked incentive and supply-chain framework to encourage farmer adoption of alternative crops, introducing ‘crop-corridors’ to coordinate shared land use across conserved peatlands.

Bioactive Plant Extracts for Metabolic Control of Greening Tissue Under Drought Stress (2024)
Authored a research report examining the use of bioactive extracts derived from plant tissue as metabolic intermediates to modulate greening tissue biosynthesis in drought-prone crop plants. Synthesised biochemical and physiological evidence to assess how targeted metabolic control could support stress resilience and maintain photosynthetic function under water-limited conditions.

Cognitive Bias Filtering in Research Environments to Mitigate Risk Aversion (2023)
Authored a case study examining how cognitive biases embedded in routine research practices influence risk perception and decision-making. Analysed the identification and mitigation of bias patterns to improve health and safety practice, reduce procedural risk aversion, and support more proportionate, evidence-led risk management within operational research environments.

Assessing Barriers to Rural Health Access Using Geoprofiling (2022)
Authored a case study for PARLACEN examining barriers to healthcare access, using geoprofiling of population patterns to inform risk assessment and support faster, targeted healthcare response planning.

Soybean Breeding Strategies for Europe (2021)
Authored a proposal after synthesising evidence on existing soybean varieties in the Americas and Japan, recommending the protein-to-oil ratio as a key breeding target for legumes intended for the European market.

Closed-Loop Glasshouse Systems for Mars Terraformation (2019)
Examined the repurposing of glasshouse designs as closed-loop living systems for off-world environments for a Mars terraformation project with the Icelandic Space Agency and 4th Planet Logistics.

Using Satellite Imaging to Assess Flood Risk in Agricultural Landscapes (2018)
Co-authored a proposal with the N8 Research Partnership exploring the use of synthetic-aperture radar satellites to map flash-flood risk in low-lying areas, supporting agricultural resilience planning in the tropics.

Exploring Recycling and Reuse of Paper By-Products in a University Setting (2017)
Explored ways to reduce institutional waste through reuse of plastics and paper. Engaged researchers and University operations staff to test bulked recycling ideas and assess practical and economic feasibility.
